Madeline (Maddy) grew up in Upstate New York and is a graduate of Boston College with Bachelor’s degrees in Islamic Civilization and Societies and International Studies with a concentration in Global Health. Her college experience culminated in a senior thesis evaluating the inclusivity of programs for child refugees with disabilities in the context of Jordan. Prior to working with HaSET, Maddy worked in the Global Mental Health Programs at Columbia University with a research focus on mental health in humanitarian settings in Nepal and Lebanon. She hopes to use these research experiences to contribute to the HaSET program while also broadening her understanding of the vast dimensions of global health. Maddy plans to eventually return to school to pursue Master’s degrees in Public Health and Social Work. Outside of work Maddy enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.
