Dr. Fisseha serves as the Vice Head of the Zonal Health Department and general practitioner and obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Debre Birhan Comprehensive Specialized Hospital for over 30 years. In 2013, the Ministry of Health awarded Dr. Fisseha for his passion and dedication, exceptional service and contribution to the health sector advancement in Ethiopia. Dr. Fisseha received the outstanding leadership award from the Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2019. The Ministry of Women And Children Affairs, in 2021, recognized Dr. Fisseha for his passion and dedication to improve maternal and child health. Dr. Fisseha has served as the Chair of the Birhan Community Advisory Board since 2018.
